Sensor Interface Products
Four models of sensor interface boards (SIBs) are available from Vertilon—each specially designed to connect to a
specific, commercially available PMT or APD. For applications utilizing multiple single element sensors such as APDs and photodiodes, the SDS232 SMB distribution system can be employed to provide a convenient means to connect up to 32 coaxial outputs to a PhotoniQ. Please refer to the selection guide below or contact Vertilon if your sensor is not listed and a custom SIB is required.

SIB016—Sensor Interface Board for Hamamatsu R5900U-L16 Series PMT
• Interfaces to Hamamatsu 16 linear element multi-anode photomultiplier tube
• Provides mechanical and electrical connectivity
• Compatible with all PhotoniQ models using separately ordered SIB cable
• Includes high voltage connector for photocathode bias

SIB032—Sensor

SIB064—Sensor
Interface Board for Hamamatsu H8500D Series PMT
• Interfaces to Hamamatsu 64 element 8 x 8 multi-anode photomultiplier tube
• Provides mechanical and electrical connectivity
• Includes last dynode high gain/bandwidth preamplifier with separate output
• Three on-board discriminators for last dynode triggering
• Compatible with PhotoniQ models IQSP482 and IQSP582
• Connects to PhotoniQ using two separately ordered SIB cables
• Includes high voltage connector for photocathode bias
